Terry Ryan

Terry Ryan is a former professional ice hockey player from Canada. As a left-winger, Terry Ryan was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens eighth overall in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. Despite his high draft ranking, Terry Rya only played in 8 NHL games over three seasons. This was due to a serious ankle injury that occurred in 2001. As a result, his passion for the sport was spent playing in minor professional hockey leagues. He played for the St. John’s in 1999-2000 to play for Maple Leafs, his hometown. Terry Ryan also won the St. John’s Maple Leafs Humanitarian of the Year Award in 2000. In lieu of the sport, Terry Ryan represented Canada at the ISBHF ball hockey tournament in various European countries, such as Switzerland, Germany, Slovakia, and Canada. Outside his hockey career, Terry Ryan works in the film industry and has appeared in a number of episodes of Republic of Doyle, a popular CBC television program. Terry Ryan also released his first book, “Tales of First Round Nothing”, in 2014.
